Avanade www.avanade.com

Avanade are creating a unique IT solution for the Driving Home expedition, in the form of a rugged laptop which the team will use to send photos and diaries back to the UK. The laptop will use the mobile phone network to send information back to the UK, and will be used to implement a pioneering process called Telemedicine – whereby the expedition Dr will be able to send photos back to our medical advisers in the UK, to get an immediate second opinion if needed.
Avanade have also taken on 77 PR to gain media interest in the expedition, and in the technology provided by Avanade

Kroll Security International: www.krollworldwide.com

Having seen our article in the Times, Kroll have offered to advise us on the security situation along the route of the expedition. They will keep us updated regularly with changes that we need to be aware of, such as political instability, civil unrest or health emergencies. They have also offered us access to their Security Centre for assistance if needs be, were a security situation to arise. We have of course been keeping track of the FCO advice for the expedition countries, but Kroll are able to offer much more comprehensive information to keep the expedition safe and we are delighted that they contacted us.
