The Expedition
Team comprises an expedition leader, a deputy expedition leader,
a medic, a mechanic,
expedition support member and a PA for Colin.

Colin
Javens: Expedition Leader
|
|
|
|
The Driving Home project is his concept. Colin has lead the expedition
and the team during and in the preparation for the expedition. He
is responsible for all aspects of expedition planning, including
route, equipment, selection of medic, safety and crisis management
planning. |

Ben Matthews:
Deputy Expedition Leader
Ben is a qualified outdoor instructor with strong experience of
the outdoors and expeditions. He is responsible for expedition
safety, navigation, and all pre-expedition training. He is also responsible for capturing the expedition on film.

Richard
Wood: Mechanic
Richard is a qualified engineer and has trained to be the expedition
mechanic. He is responsible for design
of the vehicle's adaptations and for the procurement of team equipment
for the expedition.

Kiko Matthews:
Expedition Support ( Travel, Communications and Medical)
Kiko is responsible for internal communication and updates prior
to the expedition, and during the expedition will oversee writing
of the weekly web updates, as well as being the second mechanic,
as trained by Woody. She is also be heavily involved on the
fundraising side of the project in Hereford.

Chris
Parsons: Expedition Medic
Chris is a trainee surgeon, currently working at University College
London, having spent 2 months of his elective in Zimbabwe. He
is responsible for the medical side of the expedition, including
training, kit, and crisis management but hopefully wont
have too much to deal with on the expedition itself!

Chrissy
Prydun: Colin's Personal Assistant
Chrissy is
the sixth and final member to join the Driving Home team. She
is Colins Personal Assistant, helping him out with
day to day tasks, as well as being a full member of the expedition
team. She is Australian, has traveled and worked in Africa, and
has 2 years of experience working with people with spinal injuries
in the UK, so is the ideal person to come on board the team
